When in 1960 professor Miller was giving his first lecture to his graduate students at New York University, Said: Dear students if you had a dollar and I had one by exchanging them we wouldn't earn more than a dollar, But if you have an idea and I come up with a different one, by sharing these ideas we ell fire ideas off which may reveal the truth out of thinking.
There is no doubt that scientific gatherings are the center of exchanging opinions and renovations which provides better health services to people by contributing new methods and techniques. According to that, Iranian Dental Association has proudly sustained holding annual dental congresses for 50 years, with participation of national and international scholars and professors. Besides, it continues holding continuing training courses and seminars, publishing dental journals, newsletters and bulletins.
Continuity and perseverance, offering high dental services, promotion of public health, and improving educational levels of dental courses and will always be IDA,s mottos.
Hence it's on us to remember those who have founded, and paved the way for this association, namely.
Dr. Hossein Navab, Dr. fereidoun Farzin, Dr. Mousa Baki Hashemi, Dr. Mohammad Ali Eftekhari, Dr. Shams-al-Din Tabesh, Dr.Alfered Avanessian, Dr. Arnold Bernardi, Dr, Rashtiyan, Dr. Vahabpoor, Dr. Haddad, and Dr. Tadj.
Moreover I sincerely express my gratitude to our dynamic organizing committee members, especially Dr. Tajernia as Executive Secretary, Dr. Seyedan as Scientific chair, Dr. Taherian as publication Director and Dr. Miran as Exhibition Director which without their tireless efforts this gathering would have not been held. I thank all the affiliated dental associations for their outstanding contribution. I also wish a wonderful journey for our distinguished international speakers, and for pure dear guests, presidents of dental associations from neighboring countries.
I hope they all return home with lots of happy memories of their stay in our beautiful country- Iran.
In the end, I am much obliged to officials of Milad Tower, Mr Golrokhi, Mr. besharati and Mr. Mousavi for their full co-operations.
